Every now and then I get inquiries from visitors to my website about learning solutions I offer. Some are in paid employment, while others are either self-employment or hunting for jobs. Most assume I routinely run learning events – which I don’t.

How to Get the Website Traffic You Need at Zero Cost

A Web Marketing client once me sent an SMS asking that I help drive traffic to the Joomla based website I’d built for him (as part of a custom Web Marketing System). I promptly replied, in a detailed email, that what he requested was the EXACT opposite of what he needed to achieve marketing success.

If you wonder why I said that, and what I told him to do instead, below is an abridged version of the email response I sent him.

All you need to do is focus on writing and posting informative and educative articles targeted at your ideal customers/clients for you business, on your blog, for instance…then share the links to those articles on your Social media pages (and other components of your Web Marketing System). And do so on a consistent basis, the way you see me do all the time.

I assure you that if you do it right, the search engines will continually index pages from your site and eventually fall in love with it, to the point that they will serve links to your pages in the search results that potential buyers see when looking for information related to what you offer.

Those people (we call them pre-qualified prospects) will then eagerly click the link to visit your site and read the article, and while there will discover what they can buy from you.

You DO NOT need anyone to send traffic to you.

And you do not need to PAY ANYONE to make visitors come to your site.

Just offer useful content on a regular basis and let the Internet do its magic. This is what I do in my business, and I get sales from buyers in and out of Africa regularly.

Total strangers too.

If you follow what I tell you, and you ensure that you offer authentic solutions that add value to buyers, YOU will also get the same results.

Let me repeat myself once again: You DO NOT need anyone to send traffic to your website!

Don’t get me wrong. If they do, it would be a welcome development. However, paying to have traffic sent to your website, or asking other website owners to drive traffic to your site, will rarely yield useful, talk less lasting benefits.

I know there are people who will disagree with me on this.

However, what I sell is unique and the audience I serve via this website mostly offer similar unique products and services. And my advocated approach works superbly, for me, bring high profile, high paying buyers to me, even while I sleep!

This is why I am convinced that my approach offers my target audience better returns on their potential investment of time, effort and money.

Attract Clients to Buy or Rent Your Property At Zero Cost Using THIS Strategy

If you rent/lease out or sell real estate, this article offers useful insights into why intelligent use of Web Marketing will yield the best returns on your investment of time, effort and especially money, compared to ANY other medium. It is based on suggestions I made to a property marketer whose weekly Web-Address-Less advert I came across in a national daily.

My purpose here is to share my expertise in attracting – for you, at low to zero cost – serious minded people, who have the means to pay, to contact you about whatever it is you offer.

Note here that this message is directed primarily at persons who currently make exclusive use of mainly OFFLINE sales and marketing channels – most of which are PAID, and have short (typically 24 hour) shelf lives e.g. Newspapers, TV, Radio etc.

Do you want to make cost-effective use of your marketing/advertising funds, especially when trying to ATTRACT buyers or rent occupiers for a property?

If YES, then you MUST setup a SYSTEM that enables you keep your marketing message going out to the right people, for as long as possible.

That way, you will stand a much better chance of ATTRACTING more of the serious minded enquirers (as against those just curious, who are not ready).

In other words, you need to use a “marketing” system that generates regular potential sales leads for you to low to zero cost.

Reason: Property can often take TIME to rent out or sell off.

I’m sure you know this. However, many who continue to use offline channels without integrating with online ones, and also those who use online channels without a well thought out Web Marketing Strategy, often MISS this important fact.

In the real estate business, you typically you find yourself talking to so many enquirers, answering the same questions to each one, and sometimes taking them to inspect, with nothing to show for it at the end of the day.

They tell you they will be in touch, but for some reason never get back to you. And sometimes they want to go forward, but the PRICE they offer simply does NOT meet your lowest expectations, so you are forced to say NO.

The Solution I propose ELIMINIATES the problems I have described above, and puts POWER in your hands to get what you want.

The best part is that it enables you drastically minimize the time, effort and resources you EXPEND in order to eventually get the RIGHT person who actually goes ahead and pays up.

What’s more, by the time the system I refer to becomes operational, and you begin to use it in line with my instructions, it will enable you build a LIST of contact – potential clients/buyers – that you will be able to follow up with offers for THAT specific property you wish to sell or rent, or indeed ANY others you may have.

4. Pineapple peels (and other) Fruits Based Drinks Production Facility Start-up in Cotonou

On Wednesday night, I spoke to the MD of the Wine Manufacturing company (where I worked as trainee Sales Coordinator for 6 months in 1994 before joining Guinness).

We agreed I should meet him at the factory on from 9a.m today – Friday 3rd July 2015. He’s helping me prepare the capacity projections for the 40 Hectolitre drinks production facility I plan to launch in Benin.

Back in 2013, I developed a drink using Pineapple Peels as the raw material. And it got me noticed by the Nigerian Embassy officials in Cotonou.

Today, my kids produce and sell that drink, and cakes made using the same raw material (as the opportunity presents itself).

My vision is to operate the Cotonou based entreprise as a home based FAMILY business with my kids, and also run workshops to teach others how to make drinks on their kitchen table with very small capital, like I first did in 2013.

5. Lastly, I have also devoted some quality time to exploring other viable ways to generate passive/residual income offline as well – in fact, I’ve identified specific models that work out here, if one knows how to go about it.

In Africa, mentoring as a business is still in its infancy. Most people refuse to accept they need it. When they do acknowledge it, they often want to pay little or nothing. Yet the results they get in life often indicate formal coaching/mentoring will GREATLY BENEFIT them!

The typical exception to the above is when they are not the ones paying for the coaching e.g when it’s arranged as part of a career development program by their employer.

This is why most providers of coaching/mentoring or training in this part of the world, tend to target mainly organisations in their marketing, as against reaching out to individuals.

My 1st FIND: In the course of researching online for additional resources to use, I came across this excellent PDF resource on mentoring YOUNG PEOPLE:

It’s just one element from what is actually a complete and VERY comprehensive Tool Kit (including a CD etc) for Aspiring Mentors to use in designing their own mentoring programs according to World Class standards.

What’s most interesting is that this Tool Kit is used across the USA via a national mentoring network to link young people with caring adults, who need mentors.

You’ll notice that they have URLs for “State and Local Mentoring Partnerships” listed for virtually every state in the USA.

So, that’s for YOUNG people..

My 2nd FIND: There’s another online resource – this time for mentoring ADULTS…

It’s www.impactforcoaches.org – and last time I checked, membership was FREE.

It has a great resource page you can use to prepare material for coaching (you click on “Coaching Forms” once you are logged in. All are FREE:

My 3rd Find: And finally, I’ve been exploring online and offline channels for a while now, to find resources and ideas about how persons keen to own their own businesses can do so without having to QUIT their day jobs.

My decision to search for and find this resource was influenced by my interactions with my Farm CEO clients – an increasing number of whom hold day jobs while running their farm businesses part time.

The belief that this way of eating your cake and still having it is possible became more reinforced for me as I’ve MORE of my Farm CEO clients turn out to be guys working at well paying jobs (some with multinationals manufacturers, oil service companies etc) – who setup farm businesses that they run with their spouses.

They then come to me to buy my software and other products to more effectively monitor, and manage their operations.

From what I learnt by observing them, and reading up on new ideas from Robert Kiyosaki and others, I realized it would be best to help people explore this alternative way…

He has delivered talks/papers to audiences in various groups and organizations, including the Centre for Management Development, University of Lagos, Christ Baptist Church, Volunteer Corps, Tantalisers Fast Foods

and others.

In May 2012 he was the Guest Speaker at the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development’s Annual Semester Entrepreneurial Lecture at Yaba College of Technology in Lagos.

On 1st April 2013, Tayo (who reads, write and speaks the French language) relocated to Cotonou, Benin Republic to begin slowly traveling across the West African region.

His key purpose is to deliver talks, seminars

and workshops on his key areas of focus and interest to interested audiences (Email tayo at tksola dot com for details).

In a previous life, before leaving to become self-employed, Tayo served for seven years as a high performing manager in Guinness Nigeria. He rose from Shift Brewer, to Training & Technical Development Manager, and then later acted in senior management roles as Production Manager and Technical Manager.

He is an Associate Member of the UK Institute & Guild of Brewing, a 1997 National Finalist of the Nigerian Institute of Management’s(NIM) Young Managers’ competition, a Certified Psychometric Test Administrator for Psytech UK, innovator of Spontaneous Coaching for Self-Development™ (SCfS-D™), and Founder of the Self-Development Academy Limited.
