A Web Marketing client once me sent an SMS asking that I help drive traffic to the Joomla based website I’d built for him (as part of a custom Web Marketing System). I promptly replied, in a detailed email, that what he requested was the EXACT opposite of what he needed to achieve marketing success.

If you wonder why I said that, and what I told him to do instead, below is an abridged version of the email response I sent him.

All you need to do is focus on writing and posting informative and educative articles targeted at your ideal customers/clients for you business, on your blog, for instance…then share the links to those articles on your Social media pages (and other components of your Web Marketing System). And do so on a consistent basis, the way you see me do all the time.

I assure you that if you do it right, the search engines will continually index pages from your site and eventually fall in love with it, to the point that they will serve links to your pages in the search results that potential buyers see when looking for information related to what you offer.

Those people (we call them pre-qualified prospects) will then eagerly click the link to visit your site and read the article, and while there will discover what they can buy from you.

You DO NOT need anyone to send traffic to you.

And you do not need to PAY ANYONE to make visitors come to your site.

Just offer useful content on a regular basis and let the Internet do its magic. This is what I do in my business, and I get sales from buyers in and out of Africa regularly.

Total strangers too.

If you follow what I tell you, and you ensure that you offer authentic solutions that add value to buyers, YOU will also get the same results.

Let me repeat myself once again: You DO NOT need anyone to send traffic to your website!

Don’t get me wrong. If they do, it would be a welcome development. However, paying to have traffic sent to your website, or asking other website owners to drive traffic to your site, will rarely yield useful, talk less lasting benefits.

I know there are people who will disagree with me on this.

However, what I sell is unique and the audience I serve via this website mostly offer similar unique products and services. And my advocated approach works superbly, for me, bring high profile, high paying buyers to me, even while I sleep!

This is why I am convinced that my approach offers my target audience better returns on their potential investment of time, effort and money.

To get started, I recommend you start writing new articles to post on your blog, like the ones I put there. Think about what you often have to say to educate and inform those who have bought from you, or joined your team.

Then write your article based on that.

It’s that simple!

However, the key to your ultimate long term success will be your ability to KEEP GOING i.e to persist, no matter how little response you think you’re getting.

But you will need to keep going with creative application of your intelligence, to generate new content that APPEALS to persons who fit your target audience profile, and who will therefore be more likely to reach out to you, after encountering your useful content.
