I’m doing this special audio podcast (which I also offer as a LIVE talk – click here to invite me) because I want to help people – in the course of my interactions with them over the last few months, in 2018 – understand what they need to do to develop the ability to find buyers for whatever it is they sell.

So, the title of this podcast/talk is How to Sell Anything to ANYONE, whether you’re online or offline. In other words, on or off the Internet.

And I offer you the ideas that are contained in this podcast, as one who has LIVED the stuff that I’m going to tell you about.

I have made money by selling…you will not believe the kinds of things I’ve sold. I’ve sold the words of my mouth, in various forms – even just to talk with somebody who has never set eyes on me before.

I have made people pay as much as ten, to twenty, thirty, forty, fifty thousand naira, to have access to the information I offer – as I said in various forms.

Sometimes just to have a conversation with me on phone. Sometimes through MP3 audio podcasts, like THIS one. Sometimes in form of videos that I put on DVDs that I send through FEDEX courier service to various people across the country.

Now, the point I’m making is this. It took me a long time to learn the things I know, and that I offer to teach, in this audio podcast series.

I went through the psychological process of realizing that knowing how to do something did not translate to knowing how to get people to buy it.

Whether it is what you know how to do, in terms of your ability physically, maybe you’re a person that’s good at sewing things or making things. Or you’re a person that has knowledge or expertise that you share with people as a consultant.

Getting people to pay you, what you feel is worth your while, is not something that comes easily.

You may be good at what you do and you have major difficulty getting people to pay you good money for what you do.

So you find yourself constantly struggling.

I have a philosophy that I developed based on the years of suffering and hardship I experienced, trying to find buyers, before I understood how to make it happen.

And that philosophy is this:

I would rather stay without a client, and continue to work on myself, building up new products, creating new opportunities to find buyers, than for me to have a hundred clients, who – for the most part – pay me very little that is commensurate with the effort (I make) and value I add to them.

In other words, people who cheat me, people who underpay me. I do not want to have such clients.

The reason why you don’t want to have such clients is you will never grow. You will constantly be trying to make ends meet. And you will often find that they will (always try to) keep you at that level.

Typically these are people who want to keep you in a position where they will always be able to gain access to you, without YOU becoming too expensive for THEM.

So they see you’re good, and they want to keep you in their shirt pocket. They want to bring you out when they need you, because they know you’re extremely good at what you do, but they don’t want you to grow too big for them to afford.

So these are the kind of people that never want to see you explode i.e. manifest and flourish in your full path.

They don’t necessarily hate you. They are just people who are cheap minded.

Now, one of the rules for finding the buyers that will pay you what you want, so that you can sell anything to anybody, is to understand that you have to have what is called a Target Audience Profile.

You have to define your ideal customer.

So, what you’re going to learn from me here, is based on the experiences I’ve had, and the years of deep thinking and reflection I did, to understand that I could not have everybody that walked up to me, as a client – and that I had to have a screening process, to separate the “wheat from the Chaff” as it were.

To understand that not everybody that has money, would be a good client for me. Even if s/he is a millionaire, s/he may not be a good client for you. Those are realities you have to face.

There are a lot of things I’m going to tell you in this audio podcast series. If you pay attention to what I tell you, and you put them into use – forget about whether you have money in your pockets. You must be able to do the things I will tell you, with confidence.

Your confidence should never be in direct correlation to the amount of money in your pockets.

In other words, if the level of your self-confidence is directly proportional to amount of money you have in your pockets or your bank account, you have a problem.

You must be a person that can speak and act with confidence as a salesman, regardless of how much money you think you have; regardless of what you think your need is. I have walked into people’s offices with empty pockets, with no fuel in my car, no idea of how I was going to get home – and  I’ve walked out of the place with sometimes a cheque of N150, 000.0 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) or even cash of that amount or more.

Now, with these items, I can give you names and phone numbers to verify. I’m talking from more than 10 years of experience.

And it took me a long time to get where I am today, that I can teach you these things.

But like I said the first thing I want you to understand is your philosophy. And the philosophy is that I would rather be completely “clientless” (if there’s such a word) – have no clients, no business, nobody giving me jobs, than for me to be engaged serving clients, working my (butt) off, for people who for the most part, will not pay me what is worth my while.

What is worth the effort, time and value I add to them?

So you’ve got to have that understanding. Sometimes you need to be able to walk away from (some) opportunities to make money, because the opportunity to make money is one that is going to enslave you.

If he is not willing to incur the small expense of less than $1 USD to speak with me for about 2 minutes during which time I ask 3 questions that often need only YES/NO answers (like MANY others before him have done), then I doubt I would be making good use of my time chatting with him on WhatsApp. I’ve tested this logic countless times for years and it rarely failed me. So, this is an example of how I use simple hurdles to screen out potential time wasters from leads my Web Marketing System generates. During my LIVE talks I offer more experience based insights using true stories.

If you want to be able to sell anything to anybody, you’ve got to be able to do that profitably. If you’re going to be somebody that can say that you’re in business really.

You’ve got to be able to grow your brand. So you’ve got to understand that not everybody who offers you money will be good for you.

Okay. So that’s the foundation of everything I’m going to teach you. And I want you to understand that you need to accept and adopt that philosophy, if you want to be able to succeed with the ideas I give you, in this series.

So, in the next couple of clips, I’m going to be telling you more. I’m going to give you what I call the rules for making sales.

No matter what it is you do that you sell. No matter what you’re good at that you make money with. Forget about that. Put it behind you (or aside in your mind) and focus on how to develop your marketing and selling skills.

That is your priority as a person in business to make money.

If you don’t have marketing and selling competence, you are going to be in trouble, no matter how good you are at what you do.

So you are a marketer first, and an expert second. Keep that in mind. In the next audio clip, I’ll break it down and let you know what that means (in detail – using examples, analogies and real life stories) and what you need to do.

This is a word of advice to Livestock Farm Business owners in Africa in particular and globally in general.

There is this trend I’ve noticed in which when Farm Business Owners (or Farm CEOs) are talking (or being told) about RECORD KEEPING, there seems to be this, for some reason, emphasis on financial records as if those are the only kinds of records that need to be kept.

Indeed, what I’ve noticed is that they (financial records) might even get discussed to the exclusion of other kinds of records which are actually the foundation on which the financial records NEED to be built…NEED to be recorded!

And I have found it important, on several occasions, to write articles along those lines to try and re-educate (re-orient!) people or open their eyes to what they are missing.

This is because when you don’t look at the production or operations end of your business and you begin to talk about the financial figures, especially when you are in a batch production process, a manufacturing process of sorts, which livestock farming is, then you lose the opportunity to really get a grip on the performance of your business and how to grow it.

Hi there, this is Tayo Solagbade and it’s about 4.54a.m. I’m recording this special update just to announce some slight modifications to the way I’ll be providing my solutions to everybody in my network.

Now please note that what I’m about to say here applies to you whether you’re already a client or whether you’re just a subscriber in my network, or maybe you’re just on my contacts list and I sent it to you.

But in the email I would have spelt out the same terms I’m about to describe in this audio, and it’s just designed to let everybody be on the same page.

Starting from Monday, the 9th of October 2017, I will be launching a new system for sending out offers to people in my network. And this will be a blanket system. In other words I will NOT be making special concessions to ANY particular groups of people anymore.

Instead I’m going to just be giving a blanket system of offers to make what I used to call “Crazy Promos”…there will no longer be called “crazy promos.

Instead I’m going to just have promos, because like I said I’ve tested all kinds of things this year, and what I’ve learned is that at the end of the day, the most important thing is that you should make your offers with integrity, but at the same time make them to have as much of a human face as possible.

Incidentally, it was some of you who told me this – who requested for this and asked, “Oh why can’t you make it a bit longer. These are short” and all of that. And what I found out over the years, from experts that I studied in developing my model, is that it’s always a smart thing to test. If people tell you they want “this”, TEST it! Don’t just be (like some clients used to tell me I was…lol) “rigid”.

So I said, OK – they say I’m rigid, let me see – just how flexible can I be, that they will be able to take it up…

So, I tried being flexible, and I noticed that the more flexible I tried to be, not everybody would respond to the effort being made to be flexible.

Some people still, there was always something!

So I said OK, the African and Nigerian environment is peculiar. People have challenges they are facing that are not normal. Because they are not like Americans, where everybody has their credit cards and you can just be charging their credit cards, every month, like some of my Oyinbo mentors that I’ve studied.

Some people are dealing with price changes of maize every week. So when they are talking about subscribing to your offer – when they say YES last week, by this week, they’ll say “Ol boy that YES don turn to MAYBE” lol!

And so I said to myself, that I have to find out something. that will be convenient for everybody and that would be FAIR! But I realized in the process of trying to do that, testing all kinds of approaches, practically with each person, especially those people who were already my clients and I felt I knew them and that it would be unfair not to give the guy a chance. I found out that there could be a varying degree of commitment even after you’d made these modifications.

So, eventually what I’ve come to is the conclusion that a person who really wants something (and that’s something I’ve actually always known), if he wants something badly enough, he’ll find away to get it. 

All you have to do it to be fair in how you make the offer. Once you’ve done that, then your own part is played and it’s left to the person to decide.

And so, long story short, what I’m announcing to all of you is:

Starting Monday (9th October 2017), there will not be any crazy promos. They will just be FLASH PROMOS – which are promos that are (tightly) time limited.

So, the time limit can be in 3 forms.

The first form or first dealing will be 24 hours

That price will be crazy but I will not call it a crazy promo.

It’s just going to be at a flash promo price. You take it up in 24hours you get that price. You go beyond 24 hours, you’re going to have to deal with DOUBLE that price which will be applicable for 24 hours.

Then after that it goes back to (for instance if the thing was supposed to be ) N100k and I gave it to you at N5k, then you would actually have to pay N10k if you missed the 24 hour deadline, and then after the 48 hour deadline, you would have to pay the N100k…or comot eye lol!

Now, it’s important to note, that what I’m talking about here, there are no exceptions to it.

It does not matter if you’re a member of my Farm Business Ideas club or Web Marketing for CEOs club or whether you’re just a subscriber or you’re a member of my Inner Circle. It won’t matter.

(Not) even if you’re a member of Club Zero – because (unlike how I initially started it) I have revised the terms of Club Zero to be SPECIFICALLY for farm business owners.

The reason is this:

I would say that about 80% of my clients are Farm CEOs!

So those are the people that helped my brand to be what it is today, and it is for those people that I offer Club Zero – PRIMARILY.

It took me time, but I eventually decided that THAT was how I wanted it to be.

So anything outside Farm Business Support Solutions would NOT be a Club Zero thing. Therefore you won’t be able to get it at a zero price.

DISCLAIMER: I Do Not Sell Fish etc!!! [Suspected Impersonator/Attempts to Discredit Me]

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’m getting this kind of bothersome feedback.

It would appear some person(s) have been impersonating me in relating with Farm CEOs and other stakeholders.

A member of my Farm Business Ideas club – Tunde Okunuga – called me up at 08.56 this morning to say he’d referred his brother based in Ede to me a while back, and that the latter said he had been corresponding with me – claiming that I had even sold FISH to him!!!

Fish ke! Where would I keep them? Ede is a location I have never gotten a single call from. This made no sense at all!!

My mouth was hanging on the floor by this time, and I recalled a Real Estate CEO who’d told me a “Tayo Solagbade” – with a different photo from mine – had been sending him messages!

Beliow is the SMS I sent him after the call, which I post here as a precursor to a formal disclaimer I will publish later.

Hey Tunde.

I just spoke with MTN call center about your assertion that Alfa, in Ede, spoke with me on phone, noting that I never got such a call and have never heard that name or had an enquiry from Ede in my life.

Neither do I sell fish to anyone! The operative at my instance checked and found no active call direct on my line. A

s things stand it would be useful for me to speak with your brother to get a better idea of what’s going on.

NB: I have since not been able to reach Tunde Okunuga on his line for some strange reason. And he has yet, as at this moment (4p.m) to reply my above SMS.

UPDATE (17th April 2017 @ 20:21): Tunde, who is on my newsletter mailing list, replied to the email broadcast version of THIS post, which I sent out, saying he would call his brother today, to find out what was really going on, noting that it did appear that someone was using my name. I’ll be posting any feedback he sends me, here, as soon as I get it,

The Need to Stop Dangerous Miseducation That Often Happens Via Schooling [Hint: Request FREE Podcast via Whatsapp]

In this FREE podcast I review a TV discussion program I recently watched, to illustrate the fact that some schooled Nigerian elites are NOT aware that there is difference between “schooling” and “education”.

I back up my argument with examples of known names like Pat Utomi, Shina Peters, Daddy Showkey, 2Face, Michael Jackson, Fela, Femi and Seun Kuti, Lagbaja/the famous “blind” musician Kokoro (vs Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles – both famous blind musicians in USA), as well as Nigeria’s wealthy but often poorly schooled big time traders who end up having their pick of highly schooled daughters of the elites.

In Nigeria, young ladies with minimal schooling willing to dance scantily clad in music videos (or do other naughty stuff) today command superior income to degree holding counterparts. To shut the latter up, the former go out of their way to buy certificates they brandish to claim they lack nothing academically.

In today’s fast paced, PC and Internet technology driven world, the definition of the word “illiterate” has completely changed from what it meant decades ago (as accurately noted above, years ago by Alvin Toffler, the great American writer and futurist)!

I say “some” schooled Nigerian elites because, as it with everything else in life, there are exceptions

For instance, I am a well schooled member of the Nigerian elite, as are a few others I know, who already know the truths I highlight in this podcast.

But we are in the minority, as most members do not know, and what’s worse: do NOT know that they don’t know!

The damage such double lack of insight can do (and is doing) is considerable!

Today. There are many different ways to get an education.

No one way is right or best.

What meets the unique needs of the learner is what matters most – and therefore comes first.

For instance, not everyone has the aptitude or flair to excel in academically inclined fields or vocations. .

Some of us, and our kids, have gifts/abilities that demand only bit of basic academics mixed with tons of doing or hands-on activity/practice.

Refusal to accept this reality is why most of us still prefer to pay poorly (even unschooled) roadside mechanics to fix our cars as against letting graduates of mechanical/automobile engineering touch them.

We are too focused on book knowledge, and even THAT we don’t teach right – instead emphasis is placed on certificate acquisition with zero competence verification.

That is why our schools rarely produce authentic, internationally recognised thought leaders, innovators or inventors!

It is, and should always be, about what works for your child in terms of providing him/her the EDUCATION s/he needs to develop his/her unique God-given genius to achieve his/her OWN well informed definition of balanced success in life!
