During my time in paid employment, I often discussed extensively with other employees within and outside my company about the workplace, employment conditions, boss-surbodinate relationships, job satisfaction etc.

Most times people I spoke with dwelt more on the monetary remuneration/benefits they received from their companies as a means for deciding whether or not to be “happy” with their jobs/companies.

But in certain instances I found that some (like me), wanted more than that – such as freedom to express their individuality in doing their work; more recognition from the company for their contributions etc.

This article explains why – I believe – decision makers need to work hard to measure(possibly using a short Employee Morale Gauge quiz like the one I developed) and nurture the morale of their employees/team members IF the organisation is to progress.

Compete ONLY Against Yourself – And Enjoy The Rewards Of Being A Truly Liberated Mind!

Due to the way some people have been brought up – coupled with the programming done on their minds in formal schooling systems – they believe that to get ahead in life, they need to compete with another person. That’s why you find people who claim to be friends(sometimes even relatives) working hard to outdo one another.

One frequent fallout of their desperation to better(or get “one-up” on) each other is the absence of true sincerity, love and free, candid expression of feelings that would normally be expected to exist in such relationships.

I believe anyone who wants to get great fulfillment in life, must live without carrying the burden of anxiety caused by a need to keep up with, or outdo another person, in order to look good/appear successful.

This article explains why competing ONLY against yourself(like I do!) will help you live a more productive, fulfilling and LONGER life.

Many of us have also heard the saying that “Appearances can be deceptive”. I once heard someone say in an American sitcom that “clothes don’t make a man”. Then there is the dictum “You cannot judge a book by its cover”. This last one makes me ask why therefore people who should know better STILL insist on judging others by how they look at a point in time.

Know How To Deal With People Who Mock And Ridicule You?

The minute you take that decision to pursue a worthy goal(defined as one that majority would rather avoid, for fear of failure etc), you immediately become prone to being used as the butt end of jokes by those you consider to be your friends, relatives etc. Many people find they cannot stand the scrutiny, and humiliation that comes with trying to do what no one has (or few people have) ever done before. So, they quit, and it ends there. How To DEFEAT Haters – Permanently!

Life is full of ups and downs. Quite often, to get to the top, we first have to endure going DOWN, and having to exert ourselves to climb back up and BEYOND where we originally fell from.

Challenges we face will come in various forms. In order to qualify for the reward of success we seek in life, we will have to take them on, and overcome.

Haters, whether they know it or not, are helpers of those they hate ON. The key is for the HATED to understand this, and use it to his/her advantage.

Jim Rohn advised: “Be grateful for adversity, for it forces the human spirit to grow… He explained that there cannot be achievement in the absence of adversity…we have to achieve IN SPITE of adversity, if we are to truly succeed.

This is why complaining never helps. When haters turn their lenses on you, and begin to viciously backstab or openly castigate you, that will be the time for you to be at your adrenaline boosted best. Continue reading

Jim Donovan in his best-selling e-book (titled “This Is Your Life, Not A Dress Rehearsal“) – click to download FREE PDF – that I bought from www.asamanthinketh.com in 2001, described a technique called “Fake It Till You Make It” – FITYMI. He explained it by saying that without mis-representing him/herself, the person who seeks success must act as if (and BELIEVE) s/he has already become the successful person s/he wants to be.

You would speak in the present continuous tense about the value you intend to deliver. For instance you would say “I Help People Solve Their Business Financing Problems” and NOT “I Hope To Help People Solve Their Business Financing Problems”.

Your apparent self-belief is what will convince persons sincerely interested in having THAT kind of problem solved to engage you.
