In your personal or work life, a willingness to stand out/be different, and to venture outside your comfort zone, will determine how successful you become. My study of the lives of many successful people in different fields, and across various cultures, convince me exceptional achievers do NOT get there by habitually avoiding criticisms, challenges, risks, or mistakes!

The very act of pursuing success requires stretching one’s self BEYOND what one has been used to doing previously.

No matter how many times you may have won or succeeded, you will often have to dig deeper to win at higher levels, if you want to keep improving.

As an expert in your chosen field of interest or specialization, it’s likely you have colleagues who boast superior competencies to yours at what you do.

You most likely consider them “rivals”, against whom you must put up your best efforts, if you expect to be noticed by the mutual target audience you offer solutions to.

In such a case, your success will depend on your ability to set yourself apart from such rivals in a way that makes decision makers PREFER to hire YOU!

Sometimes that could mean packaging, promoting and presenting yourself in as many new and/or unconventional ways as possible, compared to others.

Richard Branson is an excellent model of what is possible in this regard…

He has made a success of getting valuable media exposure for his businesses by being willing to:

A. boldly conceive and fearlessly implement unusual – often contrarian – business ideas to address an unmet consumer need in a pocket friendly manner.

B. creatively employ potentially risky publicity stunts of ALL kinds to attract useful attention to his unconventional ventures.

C. courageously pick himself up anytime his ideas did not work as planned, and use whatever lessons could be had from the experience, to go back and try again – or start a new venture.

When I say the above, I do so based on deep insights I’ve gained from working VERY closely with CEOs face to face, and via the web, within and outside Africa, for well over a decade.

You see, I’ve learnt that many “conventional” business owners are too concerned about how they “look” to take actions that can benefit their businesses like Branson does.

Things are changing, but even today there are many CEOs I know who would NOT go out without being in a suit and tie. And I always wonder about that, given the fact that NONE of them is even half as successful in business as Richard Branson!

For him, going tie-less is more the norm than the exception, and that’s often how he meets with others who tend to come seriously suited up.

Years ago, I resolved to emulate Branson as much as possible in the ways I go about my own business affairs.

That’s why almost NOTHING is sacrosanct in terms of what I feature in the promotional materials I create to get noticed by my target audience.

This is why, for instance, I have publications like my 10 Storyfied Yoruba Proverbs Audio Book, which teaches basic usage of 10 popular Yoruba language proverbs. It is also why my latest book is based on a Christian-religion themed play titled “Defeating the Devil Inside” – despite the fact that I am NOT religious.

The above publications contrast sharply with conventional books in my online store, on self-development, public speaking, parenting, farm business best practice etc.

You don’t have to agree with my approach. For me however, the reach and impact I achieve makes it worthwhile.

Often, whenever I’ve gone the unconventional route in this manner, I’ve noticed a spike in the attention I get from certain quarters. Sometimes that leads to mentions, or inquiries that would otherwise not have come.

And a few have resulted in sales of my more conventional products!

Most important however, is the fact that my adopted strategy enables me remain perpetually unique in terms of how I position myself. The unconventional content creation strategy I use makes it easy for my target audience to identify and talk about me to others.

In other words, I’m hard to mix up with ANYONE else, who provides ANY of the solutions I offer.

Here’s another example: My use of the title “Location Independent Multipreneur” used to cause more than a few eyebrows to be raised when I began using it, after relocating to Benin Republic in 2013.

The result was that people got curious enough to Google for more information about me, and they also closely scrutinized the solutions I “claimed” to offer.

A few went further to “test” me by reaching out via phone/email, and later making “small purchases”, to check (some actually asked me!) if I claimed to be “Location Independent” so as to avoid being tracked down by unsatisfied buyers for instance!

After establishing that I was for real, and could be trusted, they felt safe enough to start talking seriously to others about me. As a result, I find myself getting periodic referrals!

All of the above happens, with payments being sent to me from within and outside Africa by total strangers.

In other words, people who have NEVER met with, or heard about me.

I mean, people who ask me where my office is and get told, by ME, that I have NEVER used an office since 2002!

Those same people feel CONVINCED enough to take the leap of faith to send payment to me, for a product I promise to send them in return!

In other words, my willingness to be BOLDY contrarian is paying off for me.

Way back in 2003, when I first began describing myself as a Multipreneur…it earned me LOTS of criticism.

At a point, I lost count of those who started discussing what I could do for them, but refused to continue when I revealed other solutions I claimed to be able to provide.

Many pointedly told me I was doing “too many things”, and that it meant I was NOT good enough at EACH one, to merit getting hired by them.

It might interest you to know that ALL the solutions I claimed I could competently provide back then, are the EXACT same things I AM doing today i.e. Performance Improvement Speaking Services, Custom Excel-VB Software Development, Freelance Writing, Web Marketing Systems Development etc.

But when I began, no one believed me.

My claims went against conventional wisdom – and some “wise” veterans went out of their way to advise me to choose “one” and drop the others. That all I claimed I could do, was too much for ONE person to do.

I gave serious thought to what they said, but every single time my INTUITION told me to keep doing what I was doing – and to PROVE myself to anyone who gave me even half a chance.

So I kept presenting myself that way. Eventually, some people began to nibble at my bait.

They were willing to look beyond their bias to grudgingly hire me (I think those who chose not to, felt intimidated that I could multitask so productively, when they could not).

Thankfully, on the few occasions I got hired, I did so well (and even went the extra mile), that some even hired me in the other areas I offered solutions! The story remains the same today, as I continue to UP SELL my growing library of other solutions to new clients/buyers.

For instance, last week, I won several new buyers of my Excel-VB Income and Expense Manager. Among them was a Farm CEO who only 2 weeks earlier had purchased a promo offer of my Poultry Farm Manager, Ration Formulator and Feed Formulation Handbook.

See how taking the risk of insisting that I’m a multipreneur helps me earn much more than I normally would??

What I’ve said here does NOT cover all that is possible with regard to the mental attitude I’m advocating YOU adopt…

However, I believe it’s enough to point you in the right direction, especially if you truly want to achieve exceptional success at what you do.

Simply put, you cannot keep doing the same thing others are doing, and expect to get different results from theirs.

The title of this piece challenges you to RESIST the SEDUCTION of mediocrity, because in my experience, that’s really what holds most people back.

When you try doing something new, daring, untested, and unproven…or something simply different, that’s likely to attract criticism from others around you.

This is the reason most of us prefer to avoid taking risks in our personal and/or work lives.

Instead we stick to doing what we know – based on pass successes – will work, and refuse to deviate, even though we may SENSE doing so could lead to new discoveries and/or levels of achievement.

When a person gives in to the above described fear based need, s/he will effectively be taking refuge in mediocrity.

Now, what makes it so easy for many to fall into this potentially harmful psychological state is that majority of people in society live the same way. As a result, they may not easily find someone to give them the truthful feedback they need to get out of the rut.

The truth is however that those who become champions at what they do – including the business of public speaking – are people who NEVER give in to the seduction of mediocrity.

They KNOW that there is superior benefit to be had in constantly challenging themselves to do MORE and try HARDER, to achieve greater outcomes.

If you want to live a fulfilling life, let the above thoughts guide your actions. Start resisting the seduction of mediocrity in ANY area of your life from today!

Valuable Parenting Lesson from Doughnuts History (Hint: True story that proves it pays to let our kids use their creativity in helping us out)

We love eating doughnuts: they are delicious! But how many of us know that the first doughnuts (made “waaaay” back in the mid 1800s) NEVER had holes in them…and that they ended up not cooking thoroughly, and were NOT so tasty, as a result??

Do YOU know why doughnuts have holes in them? If no, this article will interest you – not just because it gives THE answer to that question, but also because the story behind it offers a parenting lesson you may find useful.

History credits a teenage boy – Hanson Crockett Gregory – with “inventing” the hole we associate with doughnuts today, back in 1847.

Below is a short version of the story from an old newspaper clipping I cut out over a decade ago [It ends with a URL to a more detailed online source that confirms the story.]

Why does a Doughnut Have a Hole?

The dougnut didn’t always have a hole. These round, flat, fried cakes were once filled with soggy centers.

Then, in 1847, a 15 year old boy – Hanson Crockett Gregory – was in the kitchen watching his mother make these fried cakes. Hanson took some of the uncooked cakes and poked out the centers with a fork.

When they were friend, they were delicious for the hole let the dough cook more thoroughly.

Today, doughnut makers use special machines that punch the centers.

And the house where Hanson was born now bears a plaque commemorating the day that a boy invented a hole.

How do you relate with your kids when they come around you as you carry out your tasks?

In Gregory’s case, he was “watching” his mother make the cakes in the kitchen.

But many parents in this part of the world, do not not really think to let their kids come around so much. Indeed in some homes, where parents have the means, the domestic servants do virtually everything, so that the children in the home end up not having to be involved at all, in doing stuff!

Based on my personal experiences as a parent, I argue that letting your kids get involved as much as possibel can do wonders for their self-awareneds and confidnce.

That is in addition to periodic benefits to YOU, when they may come up with, or stumble on creative improvements you may find useful to adopt.

For instance, I once taught my kids to bake my no-oven, charcoal stove baked cakes in September 2013, when I came down from Cotonou to see them in Lagos.

Today, they’ve come up with several creative modifications to the procedure I taught them, that has led to a much better product that what I began with.

The same thing has happened with their mother, as they have helped her in the home.

If you don’t already do it, Hanson Crockett Gregory’s story should inspire you to let your child get more involved in doing what you do

At least at a level where s/he can cause minimal permanent damage if anythign goes wrong.

The benefits to be had, are multiple, for the child, and you…and judging from Hanson Crockett Gregory’s example, even the larger society as well!

Yes. I mean your workplace. Every now and then in paid employment, workers find themselves having to bring their kids to the workplace, due to peculiar circumstances.

In most cases there wil be a need to try keeping the child from making a mess or creating a disturbance.

Experience Sharing Boosts Coaching Success

Experience sharing is a powerful way to coach and influence. And it works quite well for people of all ages. I know this from years of using it successfully, both in and out of paid employment.

You most likely have had many experiences that would interest, entertain and at the same time educate your child, and other people around you – even adults.

However, if you do not offer to share them, people who can benefit will never know you offer such useful wisdom, and insights.

The world will be a better place if more of us deliberately tap into our wealth of past experiences, especially way back to our childhood years, to coach others.

The growing up period and process can be very confusing from most children.

Hearing stories from established adults about how they also struggled to find meaning, and eventually take their places/make their marks in the world, can be both encouraging, and inspiring to kids, and young people.

POULTRY VISION 2013 – 2023 BY DR. AYOOLA ODUNTAN, NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, POULTRY ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA [A Review published in Issue No. 12 of Tayo K. Solagbade’s The Farm CEO™ newspaper]

This is a review (by Tayo K. Solagbade, publisher of The Farm CEO™ newspaper) of a thought provoking paper presented by Dr. Ayoola Oduntan – the National Chairman of the Poultry Association of Nigeria – at the 2015 Poultry Summit held in Lagos.

Dr. Oduntan makes a compelling case for concerted efforts to be channeled towards boosting global food production to keep up with the rapid population growth across the world. Eye opening statistics that among other interesting perspectives feature Nigeria as the leading producer of chicken meat and eggs boost the impact of this well researched presentation.

Dr. Oduntan notes the inevitable limiting effect of the ban on use of cages in Europe, combined with the increasing “campaign for welfare chicken” in the same region.

On the other hand African markets remain largely open for major growth and expansion.

He however notes that feed costs may continue to rise due to diversion of maize to ethanol production – which has further increased demand pressures on that key poultry feed ingredient.

In the rest of the paper, he proceeds to provide an interesting review/analysis of the different areas of poultry production –layers, broilers etc – noting challenges faced, such as rising cases of rearing depletions, and the possible link to vaccines used.

The highlight of the paper was however the challenge of rising feed costs, which plagues farmers today. Soyabeans and Maize continue to remain limited in availability, even as their prices rise. To meet the needs of the industry, heavy importation has to be done.

All of that inevitably adds to operating costs, leading to higher prices passed to the consumers – making poultry meat increasingly expensive.

Reading through this paper, I got the distinct impression – which his closing statement seems to support – that Dr. Oduntan put it together, especially the various tables of statistics included, to invite discussions from readers – especially stakeholders.

While I see nothing wrong with that approach, I would argue that the leadership of PAN needs to take ownership of the major challenge of SYSTEMATICALLY exploring the use of alternative low cost, locally available feed ingredients for producing poultry feed.

This can be done on a formal level, in collaboration with farmers. I know this from my interactions with Farm CEOs who already do it for themselves, using pilot scale projects on their farm premises. Such farmers can be invited to share the Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) with others in learning for that PAN can organize.

From there, a project team can be put together to tap from the knowledge and experience of such farmers, towards establishing standards for use of the viable alternative feed ingredients identified, to guide their successful use by interested farmers.

I’ve written several articles on this theme in the past, in which I reviewed research findings by Nigerian/African researchers on studies they did of locally available low cost alternative feed ingredients.

1 of 2: PUBLIC SPEAKING – No Substitute for Hard Work If You Want Success

Don’t fool yourself. Authentic long-lasting success in ANY field won’t come quickly or easily. It will take time and HARD WORK.  Thinking otherwise can make you end up a frustrated failure!

Below, I explain why hard work, when avoided in pursuing success, will often lead to success with a short shelf-life.

Thomas Edison once said: “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”

For me, there are 2 perspectives from which Edison’s words can be viewed:

1. On the physical plane, when we engage in physically demanding tasks, sweating often results.

2. However one can also perspire psychologically e.g. in doing the serious thinking required to solve problems or create solutions. This latter aspect is more relevant to what Edison was saying, since he was an inventor – and not a labourer :-)

NB: Forgive me if I just stated the obvious in the last paragraph, but I just wanted to make sure.

Now, you have to admit the truth in the above quote, when you consider that the man who uttered those words had only 3 months of formal schooling. That was due to teachers saying he lacked the intellectual capacity to learn effectively.

They called him “addled”. His furious mother on hearing this pulled him out of school, and vowed to teach him at home.

Edison went on to become a renowned inventor by dint of hard work.

At a point he held over 1,000 different patents for inventions he either improved, or conceived entirely by himself!

Yet if you think about it, what he achieved was extraordinary, considering that he had NOTHING in the way of formal scientific training/education to draw on.

His life story reveals that all he did was diligently and persistently CONTINUE DOING what he was doing, despite countless failures – until he made it.

Edison was NO stranger to hard work. But he gained even more fame for his demonstrated attitude to failures that resulted from most of the hard work he did.

There is the well known story of how it took him about 10,000 attempts to refine the light bulb, by testing different metals.

Before discovering the tungsten filament that eventually, worked at the 10,000th attempt, he was asked about the 9,999 failed attempts he had made.

His response provides powerful insights into the way a person who wishes to succeed in spite of failures MUST think:

‘I have not failed. I have just found 9,999 ways that do not work’. – Thomas Edison

What most people who know about Edison’s success often miss…

I’ve studied success and failure a lot, by reading the life stories of successful people like Edison. I needed this especially during the years I struggled to find success as an entrepreneur.

The insights I gained made tell that most people fail to realize Edison, for instance, did not do all those 9,999 tests on different metals in one evening.

Most of us do not think about the fact that every time another metal failed the test, his financial backers must have been wondering if they were wasting their time and money on him.

Few of us stop to wonder, how Edison must have summoned courage to keep trying despite the thousands of failures he kept recording.

And oh, how many of us ever wondered how he faced naysayers that must have existed in his time, each time he failed??

The above is why I think it’s crucially important to ALWAYS try visualizing the CONTEXT in which failure happened for successful people – by diligently studying them.

That will enable us better appreciate the big picture of the experiences they had.

The understanding we gain will equip us to better handle the need to work hard at our goals, and to KEEP doing so, regardless of the failures we encounter (making intelligent changes of course, based on feedback we get).

I’ve used the example of Edison deliberately, because he achieved phenomenal success despite the potential handicap of a lack of formal education.

It’s no surprise that he said “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”!

As a keen student of authentic long-lasting success achievement, I LIVE the stuff I’m sharing with you.

Based on my experiences and achievements, I want to let you in on one little known secret.

When you develop the HABIT of working hard at what you love doing, you get to a point where you can do it virtually effortlessly. Once there, it stops being work for YOU, but continues LOOKING like HARD WORK to those who observe you!

That’s what Edison achieved.

His focus on getting the results he wanted made him diligently form the habit of working hard at it until it came so naturally that he could do it (regardless of the outcome), without losing interest or passion for it.

The above is why I’m able to churn out a 1,500 word article in 30 to 45 minutes, and publish it on my blog every day

I’ve been doing this for YEARS.

Sometimes I draft 2 or 3 more, ready for the days that follow, then later tweak and auto-schedule them to go out on consecutive days.

Many times I’ve been asked “How do you do it?”…sometimes by some clients I ghost-write articles for. They ask because it tends to take them much longer, days even, to finish even ONE write-up that they feel confident enough to put out for others to read.

I tell them I’ve been doing this for over 2 decades, and NEVER gotten bored or tired. If anything, I get a HUGE RUSH, each time my fingers are on the keyboard. The words just FLOW through my fingertips!

In reality I’m able to do so because for YEARS I’ve diligently applied myself to writing even when I did NOT feel like doing it.

My wife and kids will tell you how (when I was still based in Lagos) I used to type 1,000 to 2,000 word articles right into midnight on my Blackberry, when we had no power(and no fuel for the generator).

This was often when I needed to ensure I got my artice for the day out, even though I had no electricity, and had just returned from working on a client’s premises hours away from home.

I would sit outside in the darkness, typing on the smart phone’s tiny keyboard, and then navigate on its browser to post the article on this blog.

Sometimes I would be so TIRED and would repeatedly catch myself dosing off as I waited for the Blackberry to load the browser or display confirmation that the post was published. If that did NOT happen, I would keep at it, until it did.

My commitment to getting it done was fanatical: failure was simply NOT an option!

[Note that I do the above, even while handling multiple client Web Marketing projects, fulfilling orders placed by buyers for my books and software, and even as I travel across borders. And I’m still able to create ample time to spend with my family – especially coaching my kids]

I still work that way today. But it comes VERY easily to me, and I never feel stressed or over worked, because I KNOW how to strike the balance needed (my regular exercise regimen for physical fitness is worthy of note here)

What I’m saying in essence is that once you develop the self-discipline to make yourself function as I’ve described above, working hard will become like play to you. And once that happens, your productivity will go through the roof.

Sadly, I read and hear too often today, people getting told they can succeed, but not being told that it’s VERY likely to require 99% perspiration from lots of hard work they MUST do!

That’s why I’ve written this article.

To warn as many people as will read this, that short-lived success, which ultimately ends in failure is the most likely outcome to be had from adopting such LAZY thinking.

The Best Way to Make Money (True Story)

Would you like to have a never-expiring system that makes people who want what you sell, find, contact and eventually pay you money to get it – with little or no work on your part? Or to put it another way, would you like to make money via passive income generation?

If YES, this article, the true story it tells, and the invitation at the end, may interest you.

Nothing beats earning income via passive income generation i.e. without having to work!

Now don’t get me wrong. There is some work involved and it can be quite hard. But that’s often at the early stages of creating the income generating product. Once that is done, you simply focus on attracting buyers and fulfilling orders. This latter aspect, when done using a intelligent web marketing system, will often be self-sustaining.

In other words, you would do the work once (and it can be hard work!), and reap the rewards for what can be a lifetime. In fact, in many cases, you’ll be able to hand over what you create to your offspring!

The story I share further down, is just one of MANY that I have to tell, from years of using this system.

It illustrates how the system I refer to can earn YOU what some people make in a month, in one evening. That has happened to me countless times since 2012, when I chose to focus 100% on selling my products and services online, instead of physically going out to find buyers.

Today I have no need to go out “hunting” for clients.

Instead I devote the increasing hours of free time that passive income generation affords me, to THINKING up new products and services to offer for sale using the same system that’s working so well for me.

Then I create and refine them, and ultimately put them online for my target audience to discover.

Now, because the system I use is based on the Internet, my overhead costs are close to nil.

As a result, the risk associated with launching my new initiatives is often close to zero, and most times, I am able to keep up the promotion of the solution, tweaking it based on results and feedback I get, until it starts selling.

Today, buyers from within and outside Africa send payment to me, for my Excel-VB software products such as my Excel-VB Ration Formulator and Poultry Farm Manager, Invoice Generator, Payslip Generator etc.

But apart from my growing range of customizable Excel-VB software (some of which are mentioned above), I have other Digital Cash Flow Generating Assets(DCFGA)™ I own today, even as I continue to create more…!

One good example is my popular Feed Formulation Handbook.

There are others in audio and video formats too. I provide links to some of them below to give the reader (what will hopefully be) a useful insight into some of the ways one can create DCFGAs.

Notice that ANY subject you have competent knowledge of, or expertise in, can be used to create these kinds of income generating products. So, you need not stick exclusively to your core area – else you limit yourself.

The first buyer I had for this audio book DVD was a senior manager (a lady) with Standard Chartered Bank on Victoria Island in Lagos – Nigeria.

After watching the Youtube demo video, she’d called and paid (via bank transfer) the N5k fee for it, and added N2k for delivery to her office!

What You Can Do to Get Started….

THINK of what you know well (or know how to do competently) that you can present in a form that people in your target audience are likely to want to buy.

Understand that it does NOT have to be something anyone has done before.

And you do NOT have to do it the way others have done theirs. Follow your gut-level instincts in implementing the ideas that come to you.

In my experience, from over 2 decades of doing so, your instincts or intuition will rarely steer you wrong!

If you do it right, it’s only a matter of time before you come up with something that hits home with your target audience!

In my case, the first “seller” I had was my Feed Formulation Handbook, then my Ration Formulator Software (which buyers of the handbook actually asked me to build!), and later my Poultry Farm Manger (which I first built in 2009, for  a 12,000 poultry layer farm on the outskirts of Lagos – and later put up for sale online) .

In between all of those, I’ve created some other smaller DCFGA™, which are mostly information products sold in my online store. More recently, audio and video DVD information products (see examples above) have joined the library.

You see, you only need to get started. Once you begin to see sales, your creative instincts will naturally get stimulated. You will have tasted blood! That will make you do more, and in the process you’ll gain deeper insights about what areas to further venture into.

Note however, that  you will succeed best with new products you create, ONLY if you PAY diligent attention to feedback you get, as well as new trends/developments in markets you serve!

My ongoing achievements convince me that ANYONE willing to put in the work, can benefit from creating and selling DCFGA™.

And that’s why I’ve launched a special support system to help interested persons LEARN to create and sell theirs.

Like I said, anyone can do it.

Think about it this way:

You will develop the ability to create products, which if well conceived and marketed to the right target audience, will attract buyers with little or no effort on your part, who gladly pay to get them from you.

For instance, imagine being able to offer your DCFGA™ at a promo price to enquirers who call you, and having some of them take it up, so that you go to bed that night an extra N55k richer, in your bank account?

Yet fulfilling those orders would only involve personalizing the products (if needed) and sending it as an email attachment to buyers!

Wouldn’t it be a great way to go through life – knowing that you will always be able to earn decent extra sums with minimal effort on your part (after the initial – often hard – work of creating the product)??

I’m sure you agree it would!

It would make you LESS fearful of what tomorrow will bring, if you’re self-employed or without work. And if you’re a salary earner, you would have extra money to do MORE of what you want. Money that comes even when you don’t do any real work!

Let me share a true story from just 2 days ago i.e. Wednesday 19th August 2015 to illustrate:

About 30 minutes after I finished a Skype phone conversation with a new UK based client for my Book Ghost-Writing service, I got a call from a Lagos based Poultry Farm CEO.

I recall telling him that I found it strange that he got through to me on my Nigeria mobile line (+234-803-302-1263), even though I was here in Cotonou, Benin Republic. It was the first time anyone had ever gotten through to me here, without using my Benin line (+229-66-122-136). Normally, once I cross the border, I’ve often found that I am only able to send and receive SMS messages using the line for the country I’ve left.

But back to the story…

The Farm CEO told me he had just watched the Youtube video for my Excel VB Poultry Farm Manager, and wanted to know what the price was, and if I could customize it for his farm.

I answered both questions and offered some details on what to expect.

Then I told him of a promo offer I’d just sent out, via bulk sms to my subscribers that same Wednesday morning, which was due to expire at midnight. I noted that if he was ready to buy, he could take up the product at the promo price…BUT only if he filled and submitted my website contact form to join my mailing list.

This was because the offer was ONLY meant for people who had signed up as subscribers.

The guy wasted no time in doing that, and I sent him account payment details. About 10 minutes later, he sent me an sms that he had done bank transfer!

But it DID not end there…!

Just as I finished replying the SMS, I recalled that another Poultry Farm CEO, had called me while holidaying in London, but had since returned to Nigeria. He had also indicated interest in buying the Poultry Farm Manager.

It occurred to me that the promo offer might interest him. I called his mobile line, but kept getting a “Not Available” message from a recorded voice. My purpose was to inform him of the promo offer, in case he would want to take it up.

When I could not reach him on phone, I could have simply stopped there. However, my keenly honed selling instincts made me think of sending him an email, as I’d noticed during our past correspondence that he used a smart phone, and appeared to be often online.

It was a good thing I did, because less than 30 minutes later, he sent an email thanking me for the heads up, and confirming that he had done a bank transfer to take up the promo offer! (See screenshot below)

Less than 24 hours later, I had sent both buyers the promised promo versions of the products.

Each CEO had paid N27.5k, making it a total of N55k paid into my bank account in ONE single evening!

Isn’t it amazing how having the solution people want, in form of a product you can sell, promoted using an intelligent web marketing system, can enable one make repeat sales with little or no effort?

The best part is that it’s timeless marketing.

That is, it NEVER expires – and I mean that with reference to the product marketing.
