So this is a story I’ve chosen to react to, because I’m a parent: I have sons and daughters…and I’ve seen all sorts of things happen to children when they are in their teenage years.

This is not something I’m very happy to share, but I think it’s important for people to hear the perspective I have about what happened to this young man, as well as my admonition to “fellow-parents”, regarding what we all can do to prevent such a tragic fate from befalling our respective families.
