Don’t Be Quick to Assume You’ve Seen This Before!

For the first 2 to 4 years after I started out in 2002, when the market for solutions of this kind were practically non-existent in Nigeria, 99% of the time, those I introduced to my work often readily assumed they knew what I was talking about i.e. especially when they heard the word “automation”

That is UNTIL they saw a demo of one of the real life software I offered for sale, and a video of an elaborate home study tutorial I’d created for an advanced learner I’d coached

That was why my VERY first client in 2004 paid me N100k (about $600 USD) at the time, to have me develop a custom Excel-VB driven application branded with his company’s logo and other details, for a high profile client – and Oil Exploration company.

My client was so convinced of my ability to deliver, that he paid the entire amount (i.e. 100%) upfront.

And I DID deliver – within the agreed TEN (10) days of starting the job.

Since then, I’ve gone on to do even bigger jobs for clients in various markets that paid more than twice that amount.

Today, I build and scll custom apps to meet the needs of clients -and get paid for doing so by clients within and outside Africa – especially Farm Business Owners. One of my most popular ready-to-use products for Farm CEOs earns me about the same amount I used to get paid to BUILD apps for clients when I first started out.
