World Food Day: 6 Facts & 6 Suggestions for YOU

World Food Day is an annual global campaign, established by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945, that is observed – annually – on the 16th of October.

It would however NOT be adopted as a global holiday until November 1974 during the FAO’s 20th Conference, after which it became an annual celebration.

6 Signs You’re Marketing To The Wrong Prospects & 7 Questions You Need to Ask to Gauge Buyers Readiness [Feat: True Stories]

“I ended up giving talks to employees of an educational organisation in six different branches located VERY far from each other, over a 6 week period, only to be asked to pick up a cheque for an amount that did not even cover the cost of fuel I had put in my car during that time!. How could this happen? My inexcusable naivety as reflected in an unpardonable failure to discuss and agree in advance, fine details of my remuneration with the Executive Director (who as the cheque payment – see photo – showed, was quite happy to have me work that way!), was the cause.” – Tayo K. You Don’t Need to be Fancy to Be Successful [The Power of Delayed Gratification]

You-Don't-Need-to-be-Fancy-

This multi-millionaire explains why he STILL drives his old $500 car that has NO bumper.

In my reaction, I recall the shocking experience I had of being told an old shabbily dressed elder I’d often seen walking around rubber slippers, in an area I frequented in Cotonou, was actually the owner of several buildings there!

This video is short, but loaded with tested and proven wisdom you can use.

DISCLAIMER: I Do NOT Know YET-DEROS OIL SERVICES LTD [BE WARNED!] | How Naughty Clients Used My Name

Click https://youtu.be/QP4HxouhL18 to listen

This video trailer is a public service announcement. I explain how a PortHarcourt based “company” has listed my name, for years, as one of its Directors on a web based business directory, despite my effort to remove it.

I also share two interesting anecdotes about how some naughty clients (in the past), used my name for their business purposes, without my knowledge or consent.

Lastly, I explain why you need to be vigilant in checking for, detecting and challenging such acts…AND most importantly taking steps to protect yourself e.g. by publishing a disclaimer.

[FREE PDF VERSION] A Website That Works Wins You Repeat Visitors, Leads, & Sales: NOT Admirers & Compliments!

The original version of this article was first published in January 2007 on Spontaneousdevelopment dot com (defunct & replaced by www.tayosolagbade.com in 2014) and Ezinearticles.com.

EXCERPT | INTRO

For some time now, I have had the opportunity to discuss extensively with many entrepreneurs and business owners (some being clients for whom I had to build websites) about what kind of online presence they need to have for their businesses.

In many cases I have found these individuals to be MORE preoccupied with the aesthetics of the site, than they are with the “selling” ability of the site. And yet, there is hardly any business owner who does not know that increasing marketing reach and effectiveness – which a website can greatly facilitate – is crucial for continued growth and profitability.

This article outlines essential features of a website that works (and potential key benefits to be reaped) , which any business owner should aim to get if s/he hopes to maximise returns from investing in a website.

Browsing my 2007 HTML Website: This PROVES You NEED to Pay Your Dues to Achieve Authentic Success

Watch as I browse through a 2007 archived version of my first ever website – spontaneousdevelopment dot com (2005 – 2014), which I lost (due to poaching of the domain name) in May 2014 and had to hurriedly replace with tayosolagbade dot com.

spontaneousdevelopmentdotco

In this video, I explain how I used manual html (hand) coding to build and maintain that website. Then I compare it to my current website – tayosolagbade dot com – built and maintained using WordPress (a Content Management System).

The differences between the appearances and backend functionalities required to run both websites are clear proof that one needs to be willing to pay one’s dues, if authentic success is to be achieved.
