Since launching my Farm Biz Ideas Support Service website, in July 2006, I have received over 350 web form requests from visitors from within and outside Nigeria/Africa.
Initially, I invested efforts in responding to many of them, but later, after making the unpleasant discovery that some people were NOT sincere, and others were Yahoo! boys or scam artists of that sort, I setup an auto response system that required enquirers to take certain additional steps to get a response from me.
Since then, more and more enquiries have piled up. Recently, I downloaded the contacts database from my website, and read through the most recent, only to find what appeared to be authentic enquiries lost amongst the others. Then there we those that - understandably - asked "Are you a textbook theorist...do you really know this stuff etc?"
Well, the above issues, and the fact that I have NOW re-launched my Public Speaking Service (http://www.tksola.com) AND the need to HELP those SINCERE persons who made enquiries via my website - have now led me to start this online club.
I will elaborate on tested and proven Strategies, That Street-Smart Farm Business Owners can use to find READY BUYERS for their farm produce.
Most farmers FORGET about finding BUYERS, until it's too late. As a result, they are forced to sell at poor rates, sometimes at a loss.
You can learn how to get around this MAJOR problem for GOOD - through information you will gain access to as a member of this club!
August 2006: "i have so much interest in fishery and i have discover i have so much interest in it. my question goes does...1]like how much i have to set up a fish pond...2]like how will thier feed cost me per week...3]like how much will thier medication always cost me...4]do u have any book on fishing if yes how can i get it...." - "ife" (Student, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ikene, Ogun State)

May 2011: "Farm Ideas™ Workshop Request" : "please when next are you planning a workshop on poultry feed formulation. do you have a software for poultry feed formulation. thanks" - "Bello Hassan" (Suleja, Niger State) ++++
++++My comment: Bello Hassan (his picture appears in the software screenshot above - click to see) has since purchased both my Feed Formulation Handbook and Software. He also impressed me greatly with his VERY enthusiastic efforts to use it, which helped me discover some "bugs"(errors) in the code for use in Excel 2007.
After he got the handboook...

To: "Tayo K. Solagbade"
Hi Tayo,
I have seen that attachments and will go through. I have browsed the book and my iniital impression is that you have succeeded in demistifying poultry feed formulation. I intend to post my full review of the book later through the link you gave.
However, I have the following questions:....read his questions & my answers here+=+
I will provide answers to ALL other questions sent in via my website form, since 2006 in form of blog posts -some of which will be restricted for access by ONLY members of this club.
Above: In this audio-visual screenshot demonstration, Tayo Solagbade shows how to enable macros (in Excel 2007) to run his Excel-VB driven Livestock Ration Formulation spreadsheet application (which was built to automate the Pearson Square Computation method described in the Feed Formulation Handbook). Note that the spreadsheet software is FULLY compatible MS Excel 2003 upwards.
BELOW are MORE examples of specific enquiries sent in, by visitors to my Farm Biz Support website.
These Requests (over 350 of them) Made Me Decide To Setup This Online Membership Club!
January 2007: "I would be very glad to meet with you in the process of structuring a training programme for me personnally." - "Peter Molokwu" (Int. Civil servant, Unicef - Garki, Abuja)
May 2008: "business plan and feasibility studies"..."do you own a fish farm yourself or just a textbook counsellor?" - "SOLA ENITAN" (Surveyor - Ikeja, Lagos State)**
**My comment: I recall feeling a bit ticked off by "Sola's" above comment, to the extent that I called him on his mobile. I was then in the middle of an Excel-VB Development project for a manufacturing company in Surulere. That conversation made me realise I would eventually need to organise my own LEARNING events to put the doubts being raised by skeptics of this sort, to rest, once and for all. So, here's the opportunity - PLEASE be sure to take it with BOTH hands!
NB: By way of interest, my second phone conversation with Sola Enitan (the above enquirer), took place about a week ago. I share excertps from that conversation in a recent article titled "A World Bank Expert’s Tip On Feed Formulation" - published on my SD Nuggets blog. Read it here.
September 2008: "How much is the Accounting software for Fish Farming?"...and "Very much interested in know how best to start and run a successful Poultry Farm in Abuja post disengagement from paid employement."...and "How viable if Rabbitry? Who are the target consumers?"...and "A marketable Businness Plan: How much would it cost me to get the above for my intending farm business?" - "Hope Agwulonu" (Accountant - Lagos)
Above: In this audio-visual screenshot tutorial, Tayo Solagbade demonstrates the process of logging into his Excel-VB driven Livestock Ration Formulation spreadsheet application, and updating the nutrient composition table for various feed ingredients. This application was built to automate the Pearson Square Computation method described in the Feed Formulation Handbook. Note that the spreadsheet software is FULLY compatible MS Excel 2003 upwards.

August 2009: "I am planning for a fish farm that will produce 1000 1kg of catfish monthly using concrete ponds. August 2009: on the same day he wrote AGAIN: "I am 70 years old and suffer from impaired hearing. For this reason, I cannot attend workshops. Above: This audio-video screenshot tutorial demonstrates the use of Tayo Solagbade's Livestock Ration Formulation application (which was built to accompany the Feed Formulation Handbook), to generate a 25% protein content ration formula.
The app does ration formulation, and also computes the cost, as well as energy level and fibre content of the resultant ration. This allows the user to EXPERIMENT different values using the automation of the Pearson Square calculation method, until s/he gets the desired formula. Note that the spreadsheet software is FULLY compatible MS Excel 2003 upwards.
July 2010: "I need a software to assist compound poultry feed. Send me a software for feed formulation and other relevant information for optimal poultry performance" - Farmer, "Bulus, Azi Dusu" (Jos, Pleateau State)
*****My comment: Bulus and about 14 others have since purchased the PDF Ebook version my Feed Formulation Handbook between January and February 2011.
Update (18th December 2012): Many more people have since purchased the handbook and software within and outside Nigeria. And I've also progressed my work by publishing more write-ups for farm business owners as guest posts on other websites. Click here.

But WHY Should You Trust Me? What Makes Me Competent To HELP YOU?
1. In the screen shot below, you'll see what two long time subscribers to my newsletter (each has received my email broadcasts for over 4 years) have to say about me, and the products they've purchased from me.
Note that I have NEVER met either of them in all the years of our "interaction".
The comments - by Dipo and Seun - below can be viewed on the sales page of my handbook's online store at Lulu.com.Click now to see them under Ratings and Reviews for the handbook. Click the image below (or here) to read their comments on a larger sized version.
May 2009: "Farm Ideas Workshop Request": I need a program for a new investor interested in small scale catfish farming for a start, expandable in future however. Or alternatively a link to who can assist in construction of a good catfish pond along the interest indicated above. I can't see you rendering this service in your website that I went through, as it look like you provide other vital support services which we will need on take off. Am I right? Give me a feedback soonest. I wish to end this note by honestly commending your effort if you genuinely do all you have highlighted on your website. Thanks" - Chairman/Multi-Tech Ventures Nig Ltd - olumuyiwa, F.A." (Ifo, Ogun State)****
****NB: I deliberately formatted the last sentence above, in yellow. He said "if you genuinely do all you have highlighted on your website". By organising this workshop, I intend to provide him - and others - a means to verify for themselves!
2. I recently wrote the article linked below on my blog. You may wish to read it:
NB: As a member of the Farm Biz Ideas Club, you get the above PDF report FREE - with your name printed on it. (30 pages of high resolution pictures of feed ingredients with annotations and prices/nutrients values).
Let me see if I can offer some additional details that may help you make up your mind:
4. During my stay in the University I excelled both in academics and sports. For instance, I was best graduating student, Second Class Upper Division honors, B.Sc Agricultural Extension Services (1992).
In addition, I was a regular in the University of Ibadan handball team from 1987 to 1992; and Captain of Independence Hall Handball team that won the Interhalls Handball competition in 1992.
SFRF was dedicated to helping members gain in-depth understanding of livestock management by exposing them to real-life experiences, which often involved experimentation with feeding, medication/vaccination etc.
I recently had a telephone chat with a Professor in the University of Ibadan. When I told him I was a member of the SFRF while a student, he excitedly recalled the days when he had to relate with members of the club, saying it was a group of serious minded members.
He also noted that majority of the members (over 95% were Veterinary Medical students) - so that my being an active member (and serving in my final year as the club's Supplies Coordinator) said a lot about how involved I was.
This professor in question is a world bank consultant, and I wrote a little more about him in a post published on my blog titled A World Bank Expert’s Tip On Feed Formulation (click link to read).
5. During a fast paced 7 year period as a manager in Guinness Nigeria plc, I would later gain valuable experience as a manager of human resources and processes.
Exposure to World Class Manufacturing/Best Operating Practice training, in addition to Workplace Performance Improvement Coaching Education gained by attending International Courses within and outside Nigeria, equipped me with the ability to adapt proven solutions from different cultures and economies to suit local conditions.
6. But that's NOT what makes me competent to HELP YOU. What qualifies me - and which shows through in the work I do via my website - is that I have successfully APPLIED what I learnt to the real world situations that farmers and business owners face daily.
Most importantly, I have experimented with cost-saving ALTERNATIVE methods and techniques described on my website.
Then, drawing from my 7 years in Guinness Nigeria Plc (during which time I excelled as a process manager, training and technical development manager as well as World Class Manufacturing/Best Operating Practice Process Management Champion), I evolved an approach that leveraged what I had learnt through my personal experiences and observations.
What I came up with enabled me to begin offering value-adding INFORMATION and EDUCATION to farm business owners via my farm biz support site. The many visitor responses I have since gotten attest to the QUALITY of the content I have been able to generate.
I believe the above strongly support my claims. It is however up to YOU to decide if you want what I offer.
June 2008: "I am excited by this website. You seem to be doing a lot of good to farmers, Tayo. Keep it up. I ran into this website during my search for feed formulation information. Hope I have come to the right place."- "Ben Oshionya" (Port Harcourt, Rivers State) *
*My comment: Ben went on to purchase the spiral bound version of my manual, accompanied by a CDROM containing the FULL PDF. Incidentally, it was a friend - Ebenezer Oloyede - as student of UNIPORT, who hand delivered to him on my behalf.
As is stated on my Farm Business Support Service Website, I am a Performance Improvement Specialist, with a bias for Farm Research & Extension Advisory Services provision.
What I therefore offer are products/services aimed at helping farm biz owners(and those aspiring) adopt simple, practical and cost-effective systems for starting up or managing their farm businesses at LOWER COSTS, and with LESSER EFFORT. This will enable them enjoy INCREASING financial and other returns with PEACE OF MIND & EASE for the long term.
October 2009: "i would like to be notified when information on rabbitry is published, and i would like to thank you for all your works they have been a source of inspiration for me and some of my friends" - Senior accountant NARICT, "Burhan Akhalid" (basawa zaria, Kaduna State) *****
Performance Enhancement Specialist - Tayo Solagbade - works as a Multipreneur, helping individuals/businesses develop and implement strategies to achieve their goals, faster and more profitably.
