Regular readers of this newsletter most likely know I talk about using a WMS all the time.<\/p>\n

However this time around, I\u2019m putting my money where my mouth is. I\u2019ve decided to give myself a PUBLIC challenge to SHOW and PROVE that my approach of using a custom Web Marketing System works.<\/p>\n

In other words, I have identified and chosen an expert whose brand I will develop and implement a custom WMS for, over the next 6 months. During that period, I intend to do the following:<\/h3>\n

1. Get him superior marketing exposure that generates a loyal online follower ship of potential clients\/buyers of his unique products<\/p>\n

2. Leverage the authority status he will get from the above to generate sales leads, for the products and services I will collaborate with him to create for consumption by his online audience.<\/p>\n

3. Use the trust that 1 and 2 above build in the minds of his target audience to get him invited by potential partners (media houses etc), to do what he does for a fee.<\/p>\n

4. Enable him achieve the above, on a shoe string budget i.e. without any major spending other than that for accessing the Internet.<\/p>\n

The above deliverables are ALL measurable. And they can be summed up in one sentence:<\/p>\n

I intend to use a custom WMS to help him achieve name\/brand recognition, which will make those interested in what he does PAY good money to buy products and services he offers, at low to zero cost to him.<\/em><\/p>\n

So who is this person I\u2019ll be doing all this for? Well, let me introduce him by sharing the amazing true story of how our friendship began few years ago.<\/p>\n

A. O. (I\u2019m using his initials, for now), is a wonderful gentleman national of a West African nation I travelled to some years back.<\/h3>\n

A bilingual Radio\/TV personality, I was standing outside the media house he worked at (I did not know it at the time), on my first day in his country, asking for directions to an NGO I wished to visit.<\/p>\n

This guy came out of an official car that drove in and parked nearby, then taking one look at me, as I stood talking with my bags beside me, walked over and introduced himself, then asked how he could help me.<\/p>\n

I was shocked by, and a bit wary about accepting his unsolicited offer to help. But before I could respond he'd dispatched the man I was speaking with, and invited me into a mini restaurant used by the company staff.<\/h3>\n

He promptly ordered 2 big chilled bottles of soft drinks, as I explained - in response to his queries - my reason for being in his country.<\/p>\n

By the time we parted he'd told me all I needed and more, giving me useful phone numbers and even making calls to link me up with friends he felt could help!<\/p>\n

All this for me - a complete and total stranger, in less than 2 hours from the time we met!<\/p>\n

Yet he asked absolutely nothing of me. Not then and not in the many subsequent weeks that followed when he called my phone to ask how I was getting on, and if there was anything he could do to help.<\/p>\n

During those weeks I sometimes tuned in to listen to his radio show. I soon discovered he was quite creative in producing content that enticed listeners to call in. As a result, many locals knew his name.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Now, I'd always asked him to let me know what I could do to show my appreciation for the unconditional love and support he'd given me when I needed it, but he always brushed my offers aside.<\/p>\n

But something happened recently that's giving me a perfect opportunity to give back to this great guy the way my heart has long ached for me to do.<\/h3>\n

Being the man of courage that he is, he's launched an ambitious venture to pursue a personal vision.<\/p>\n

When we spoke and he told me about it, I instantly saw I had the expertise to help him actualize his vision and I told him why\/how.<\/p>\n

He's since provided some audio materials to start, that have literally blown me away. It's obvious he's a relentless Ideas Generator, driven by a passion for what he does, like I am.<\/p>\n

I am so excited about this project, because it also gives me an opportunity to do what I do, using web marketing, for another person, in a way that will prove that anyone can use the web to achieve greater success at whatever s\/he does.<\/p>\n

So, stay tuned\u2026I WILL announce the full details of the project once it's ready for launch!<\/em><\/p>\n

Final Words: By way of interest, I actually typed most of this write-up yesterday (Sunday 13th September 2015) on my Blackberry, while in a cab headed back to Lagos from Cotonou, having only just returned last Monday night!<\/h3>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because the supposedly new laptop charger I went to buy that Monday suddenly blew out yesterday morning while I was working on a client's book project that I wanted to progress over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Since no vendor shops open in Cotonou on a Sunday, and I also needed to prepare THIS newsletter, I took the proactive step of returning to Lagos yesterday night, so as to get to the computer village first thing this morning.<\/p>\n

The fact that you\u2019re reading this completed version of the write-up today is proof that I succeeded in getting the bad charger replaced.<\/p>\n

However I had to put my foot down to make the vendor give it to me without having his way: the funny guy actually asked me to pay for another! That story will come in a separate article though, in which I\u2019ll share details of the audacity of vendors in our PC Village.<\/em><\/p>\n

Some people - especially in my part of the world - may be tempted to interpret the repeat charger problem that\u2019s made me return to Lagos twice in ONE week, as due to \"juju\"(black magic) or \"enemies\"...lol!<\/h3>\n

But I know better\u2026<\/p>\n

You see, I tell people all the time that I am guided and protected by the Creator. So nothing of that sort can EVER affect me.<\/p>\n

My experiences have taught me that adversity always has an equivalent benefit. When something goes wrong, adopting a Positive Mental Attitude will help you make things go right.<\/p>\n

Take it from me. My life is proof of it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One example: <\/strong>For instance yesterday, before I crossed the border, I ran into a friend, I\u2019d lost touch with since 2013: A smart and enterprising young man he is.<\/p>\n

We got talking about my plans and to my amazement, within a few minutes he\u2019d given me information that's filled the remaining gaps in my knowledge about the property search I'm doing.<\/p>\n

If the charger damage had not made me go to the border when I did yesterday, I seriously doubt our paths would have crossed!<\/h3>\n

Another example: <\/strong>This morning, I got a call from my mother, and she told me our long time family friends from Sheffield, arrived from the UK yesterday, for their planned tour. When my Dad schooled in the Sheffield as a student of Civil and Structural Engineering, in the '60s, he'd lived with them.<\/p>\n

Over the years we've kept in touch, and in 2000 when I visited the UK on a 6 week International Brewing Course, I and my sister took a Virgin Train to spend meet them for the first time, and spent the weekend with them.<\/p>\n

Before I left my hotel in Scotland's Edinburgh, they also paid me a visit. Since then, other members of the family have been to see them, and they've been to Nigeria once in 2005.<\/p>\n

So this is a second visit they are on<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, I'd assumed they were due in the country next week, and I'd not been sure I would be able to make it down at a good time - since they would be touring the country.<\/p>\n

So when my mom told me they arrived the SAME night I had (yesterday), it struck me that my forced return to Lagos was looking LESS and less like an accident or coincidence, and MORE and MORE like the handiwork of a superior intelligence.<\/h3>\n
