Not every organisation finds it convenient to make exclusive use of conventional off the shelf accounting software.<\/h3>\n

I discovered that fact through YEARS of serving businesses - in Nigeria -like hotels and hospitals especially, who - because of unique preferences they had for in house reporting - found it difficult to make routine use of commercial apps used for accounting.<\/p>\n

Some had staff turnover problems, so that using the often expensive conventional off-the-shelf app (which sometimes have steep learning curves) meant spending money to get a new staff trained to use it, if an existing competent user quit or got fired.<\/p>\n

When they discovered that the customizable Excel-VB alternative solution I offered could be mastered by a PC\/Excel novice at zero cost in a matter of hours, it appealed to them.<\/p>\n

Especially because they had been using manual Excel workbooks before then, for the most part.<\/p>\n

The first version built in 2006 for was for a popular hospital in Akoka area of Nigeria's Lagos.<\/p>\n

Another version was extended and customized in 2007 for a medium sized hospital in Ikeja area of Lagos, and in 2008 for a hospital in Ogudu.<\/p>\n

Apart from hotels, I also had to create a variant for a hotel in a location not far from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport area.<\/p>\n

Each custom version was built with step-by-step guidance from the individual company's in house (often chartered) accountant, and tested to work using real life data from their respective records.<\/h3>\n

This version does NOT feature my trademark menu driven, custom automated floating data entry and report generation forms.<\/p>\n

Instead, the user has to move around using a cell based form control drop menu.<\/p>\n
