And I emphasize the need to <em><strong>NOT<\/strong> <\/em>let difficulties we face, or needs we have, \"push\" us to do the opposite of what we profess to believe!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>If You\u2019re Diligent, Honest, and Consistent, You\u2019ll Always Get The Results You Want \u2013 ALWAYS!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">I\u2019m writing this from my home in Lagos, Nigeria. This is the first time since I left the country, on Fool\u2019s Day \u2013 April 1st, 2013, that I\u2019m working from here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">One of the main reasons I moved was the need for access to steadier power supply. And that has really paid off. My productivity has quadrupled as a result of that singular move. <em>I exaggerate not<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">But another reason was the annoyance of scam artists who operate a lot from here. The stigma still affects me even in my new base, in Benin Republic. But at least I run into those guys less often.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong>Having said the above, I have never let that problem bother me. <\/strong>My reasoning has always been that sooner than later, my target audience will realize it\u2019s safe to do business with me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong>And I\u2019m NOT going anywhere. <\/strong>So when (<strong>not if<\/strong>) they do come round, they\u2019ll find me right where they left me, doing what I do \u2013 ready to put my unique expertise and insight to work for them.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>Rather Than Worry or Go Crooked, I Did Two Things, Repeatedly & Consistently<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">In essence, I\u2019ve NEVER stopped believing that nothing can stop me. And that\u2019s why today I\u2019m achieving the amazing results people now recognise me for, within and outside Nigeria. <em>And I continue doing them even today\u2026now in fact\u2026regardless of the recognition and accolades I\u2019m getting.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>1. I Took Regular Action to Make Tangible Progress Towards My Ultimate Goal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">In case you do not know it, my ultimate purpose \u2013 through my Self-Development Academy Online platform - is to become the foremost provider of products and services (especially information and education) relevant to Self-Development, Workplace Performance Enhancement, Custom IT Solutions and Business Best Practice Systems Development in Africa - and one of the best in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><em>It has not changed since 2005, when I put it up on the <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spontaneousdevelopment.com\/aboutsda.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>About page on my website (click)<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong><em>That<\/em><\/strong> is not an easy goal to accomplish. When I started <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spontaneousdevelopment.com\">www.spontaneousdevelopment.com<\/a> in June 2005, very <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">few (if at all any)<\/span><\/em><\/strong> who knew me, believed I could achieve anything worthwhile with it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">But my <strong><em>attitude<\/em><\/strong> has since won most of them over. Most have now become trusted sources of support! \u00a0In other words, I did <strong>not get here<\/strong> all by myself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">But,<\/span><\/em><\/strong> I had to <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">FIRST<\/span><\/em><\/strong> of all <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">show<\/span><\/em><\/strong> others that I believed in myself, to make them believe in me.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>2. I Rejected Any Attempts to Lead Me Off My Preferred Moral Track <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">In simple English, I refuse to let greed, and desire for quick success, make me submit to the influence of dishonest others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><em>Here\u2019s a brief but true story of a recent experience I had within 6 hours of arriving here in Lagos:<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">My 2 daughters insisted on accompanying me to a neighbourhood caf\u00e9, where I needed to finish work on a Joomla! project for a new client.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">The 60 year old gentleman is a diplomat serving in Benin Republic. <strong>I was introduced to him for the first time in his office, less than a week ago. <\/strong>Twenty four hours after we met, he\u2019d written me a cheque to move his farm business website into Joomla!, the dynamic and database driven Content Management System.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">Interestingly, my purpose for visiting the embassy was actually to introduce samples of my <a href=\"http:\/\/spontaneousdevelopment.com\/boisson-tayo.html\" target=\"_blank\">Pineapple peel based drink<\/a>, and request their support for my plan to give lectures to interested persons!<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">Can you see how taking <strong>real <\/strong>action in the above manner, opened doors of opportunities for ME in a totally unexpected way? <strong>I tell people this all the time:<\/strong> Just take action to do something!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>But that\u2019s not the \u201ctrue story\u201d I actually wanted to share with you\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">You see, while at the caf\u00e9 with my daughters, a heavily built young man walked in. I looked up, our eyes met, and we recognised one another. But I could not recall where we\u2019d met.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">As we shook hands, he told me \u201c<em>Hello Sir, I used to be an attendant at the Cyber caf\u00e9 you frequented in Allen Avenue, Ikeja<\/em>\u201d. Then I remembered. It had been at least 3 years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">He said he needed a job done in Photoshop. I asked him to see the attendant. He returned to ask my help as the Cyber Caf\u00e9 did not offer the service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">He told me it was urgent, and that he needed to send it to a client before midnight. In a bid to help him, I asked for details. He began showing me pictures - on his smartphone, of walled aquariums, obviously downloaded from some website. Then he came to a picture of himself standing next to a wall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">He then explained that he wanted <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">that<\/span><\/em><\/strong> photo of himself to be \u201ccropped\u201d, and placed next to a beautiful walled aquarium in the other picture!<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong><em>Oh oh\u2026red lights began jumping around in my head \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><em>I found myself wondering how stupid this guy thought I was. <\/em>For one thing, if he truly built such aquariums, there would no need for this \u201cdoctoring\u201d of photos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">He\u2019d simply go to a past client and request permission to stand (possibly with the client), next to his handiwork, and take a picture to send to his prospective client.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>I did not need a \"seer\" to tell me this guy was trying to win a contract for a job he could NOT do! <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">His likely plan was to get the advance payment and disappear. We hear these stories all the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong>To save my limited time, I simply told him I lacked the skills to do such \u201ccomplex\u201d work, and advised that he go down the street to the next caf\u00e9. He thanked me, and left. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">People like that young man are driven by greed. And 9 times out of 10, those who get duped by them are often controlled by greed (e.g. the desire to pay what they know is a grossly LOW price, for something they know is worth much more).<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">Like they say, it takes two to tango.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style46\"><strong>Nothing Can Stop You From Achieving Lasting and Authentic Success \u2013 Except Greed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"style3\">Greed blinds people to legitimate channels they can explore to achieve lasting success.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">The desire to get something by cheating, or taking advantage of others is greed. \u00a0In other words, you want to get more than your fair share. Or to get what you are not entitled to.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">I learned very early on in life that greed offers only a few \u201cbenefits\u201d \u2013 all of which are short term. But it results in countless long term regrets!<\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\"><strong><em>So I trained myself to ignore it\u2026a long time ago.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"style3\">Greediness is a learned habit.
