I will be using my popular Excel-VB Payslip Generator software as a basis for real life case study demonstration.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But attendees are encouraged to bring their own large spreadsheets (no matter the size) so I can show them how to replicate the automation they learn in their own spreadsheets.<\/p>\n

You will go home with the improved version of the spreadsheet database you come with.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I have personally created a niched market in\/out of Africa for myself by building custom applications to meet the needs of niche markets I identify e.g my popular Payslip Generator, Ration Formulator, and Poultry Farm Manager.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A medium-sized medical establishment paid me $1,000 USD equivalent in Naira, to build a custom app for its management reporting. That's apart from income I earn selling my pre-built apps to clients across over 20 states in Nigeria, and other countries (Canada, UK, UAE, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Guinea etc)<\/p>\n

In teaching what I know, I draw DEEP on my over 2 decades of expertise and experience (7 years in paid employment, and over 15 years in self-employment) as one who has built high performing Excel-VB software (adopted for official use in a corporate multinational + purchased by clients in and out of Africa) to guide learners.<\/p>\n

[Above] Quick Tip<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let's say you - or an employee - want to know the exact details of his\/her salary (breakdown) for a particular month, this query table comes in handy. ALL the cells colored black require entries to be made into them.<\/p>\n

1. Click in the NAME field. Use drop menu button that appears to choose the name you want.<\/p>\n

NB: If you are sure you know the correct spelling, you can type the name of the employee you want, directly into the field. Any other parameter can be used to extract information from a database of this nature - including NUMERIC values like Identification No. or Account No. and so on.<\/p>\n

2. Click in the MONTH field and choose the month you wish to check salary for.<\/p>\n

Summary : If you have correctly entered data in the Salaries Data table for the chosen employee, the table will return the appropriate values for him\/her for the period specified.<\/p>\n

PRINTING PAYSLIPs<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. You can print 15 pay slips at a time. Click in the first black colored cell in the row under the \"Print Pay Slips For Staff Below\" heading. Use drop menu to select name you want.<\/p>\n

2. Move to next row, and choose another name. Delete ANY entries in the remaining cells below the last one you want to us.<\/p>\n

This is NECESSARY to ensure the program does NOT print excess slips, that will be useless, and cause paper\/ink wastage!!<\/p>\n

3. Next, click the \"View Pay slips\" button above. The program will display the EXACT number of pay slips, each with the chosen employee's name, at 6 pay slips per page. Scroll through to be sure all is OK.<\/p>\n

4. Finally, click \"Print Preview Pay slips\" to print the prepared pay slips. Repeat process for the next 15.<\/p>\n

Click \"Home\" to return to the query table view.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[Above] Quick Tip<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the monthly summary table + the accompanying bar chart (below it). They show how much salary payment is made by department.<\/p>\n

You may find this information\/analysis of salary \"spread\" useful in your company's decision making.<\/p>\n

Summary : Click in the black colored cell and use the drop menu button that appears to choose the month for which you want to view salary information displayed by department.<\/p>\n

The changes in data occurs within seconds in both the numeric report as well as the bar chart below it.<\/p>\n

PRINTING: Click \"Print Preview Summary\" button to print the sumary table with the bar chart.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
